Original painting, framed under glass, circa 1960, by Hilda Rubin (Hilda Rubin Pierce). Signed l.l. 23" by 16" painting alone, 31" by 23" in its frame. In excellent condition.
Hilda Rubin is an American artist born in Austria in 1922. She studied art with Oskar Kokoschka before leaving Austria for England in 1938 as Hitler was taking over the country, and eventually settled in Chicago. Studied art at the AIC, where she exhibited regularly. One of a number of works by this artist currently available.
