| Original mixed media painting on paper by Daniel Hersh (American, born 1946). This painting in original unframed condition measures 18" by 24" and is signed l.r. (it dates from the 1980's). Daniel Hersh is a second generation abstract expressionist painter whose work is reminiscent of Jackson Pollock's. He studied with Albert Kotin in the sixties, while at Long Island University, and also assisted Abram Schlemowitz with his monumental abstract expressionist works. He also had a studio and a gallery in the seventies in New Hope, PA, where he helped re-introduce to the public the works of the New Hope Modernists. | |
