| Exceptional Jaf Kurd bag front, last quarter of the nineteenth century, in excellent condition (oxidization of the lighter brown between the diamonds creating the usual, and desired, sculptured pattern, otherwise full pile, complete ends and sides). The wool is silky and soft, the handle loose, the weave tighter than average. The organization of the diamonds in the field is balanced, and the overall impression is of symmetry. The colors are natural and complex including two shades of green, apricot, yellow, ivory, 2 reds, 2 blues, 2 browns, aubergine, etc. Notice the extra checkerboard bottom panel. 24" by 26". | |
