| Original oil painting on canvas by Jesse Redwin Bardin (aka J. Bardin), circa 1958. J. Bardin (American, 1923-1997) is a well-known South Carolina lyrical abstractionist whose work is represented in the South Carolina State Museum and in numerous public and private collections. This painting measures 12" by 20". It is signed "J. Bardin" l.r. and again on the stretcher. It is also titled "Red Sun". Originally purchased at the Arnold Finkel Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, in the late fifties. One of a number of works by this artist usually available on this website. | |
