| Original oil painting on canvas by Loran A. D. Montgomery (American, NJ and PA, 1904-1999). This painting measures 20" by 24" and is currently offered in a newer frame. It is signed l.r. It appears to date from the fifties, before the artist switched to his signature geometric abstraction style. Montgomery studied at the Chouinard Art School, at PAFA, at the Barnes foundation, and in Paris. He was also active in the WPA. He is listed in all the usual databases and reference works. One of a number of works by this artist always offered on this site. | |
