| Original oil painting on canvas by Pedro Ostrowski (aka Peter Von Rawita-Ostrowski). Pedro Ostrowski was an Austrian born Argentinian painter (1902-1964 or 67). This painting is an oil on canvas. It measures roughly 24" by 28" (canvas alone) and is offered in good condition. It is signed "Pedro Ostrowski" l.r. and is dated 1948. Pedro Ostrowski was a painter of landscapes, figures, and still-life. He studied in the early twenties at the AKB (Akademie der Bildenden Kunste) in Munich with Becker-Gundah, and at the Heymann-Schule (also in Munich). Ostrowski moved to South America (Peru and Argentina). He is a listed artist with an auction record (cf. Werdenfelser Kunstler Lexicon, Artprice, etc.) | |
