North Sumatran hand carved bamboo calender, with Sanskrit writing and dates all over. Scorpions, roosters, masks and sacred figures near bottom. Staining on lower third due to much handling in past. Stand included. About 12 inches long, about 14 on stand.
Bronze Buddha "Faun Head" eremite figure. (no horns) Strong Khmer influence (Cambodia). Circa 18th-19th century. Note similarities to Buddha seen in item No. 4788 indicating they may have been made in the same foundry near Cambodia. 8 1/2 inches tall, 6 inches wide at base.
Very rare early Buddhist bronze "Eremite" figure (a religious recluse or hermit). 8 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches at base. Deer at base. Thai with Khmer (Cambodia) influence. Circa 18th-19th century. Note similarities in item no. 4787 indicating they may both have come from the same foundry near Cambodia.
