| Fabulous vintage piece of pottery from Nimy of Belgium, likely dating to the 1920s. Terrific figural art pottery Afghan Hound that appears to be made with a combination of molding and hand applied details. Art Deco/Moderne in aesthetic with simple shapes and streamlining of features and overall design. The base clay is white and the figurine finished with a cream glaze, with random light green/brown patches/speckling and a deep chocolate brown with gunmetal sheen. Size/Condition: Measures 8.5"x 3.5"x 8.25". In excellent vintage condition with assorted production flaws in the glazing (crawls, misses, pinholes). There is crazing, no chips or cracks. Stamped and signed to the underside with the decorator (or designer's) name, undated. | ||
