Period Hepplewhite Mahogany Desk Circa 1800

New York State Hepplewhite slant front desk,mahogany with white line inlay.Retains the original brasses marked HJ (Stands for the English brass makers Thomas Hands & William Jenkins).French splayed feet are original as well as the backboards.The Fitted interior has maple or satinwood swags over the pigeon holes.The prospect door opens to a small drawer on bottom and a hidden drawer on top which when pulled out reveals two holes in which provides access to two more secret document drawers.The upper case is constructed with hidden dovetails.This desk is fresh to the market and has come from an estate where it has been for over 100 years.E-Mail for more PICS and details.
