Vintage Christian Lacroix at his best. The photos don't do these earrings justice. The blue stones are half way between a peacock and a royal blue---very intense but still very vivid.. The other stones are a bright raspberry and a lovely brown-yellow citrine color. The enamel is a metallic blue with an iridescent quality--almost like butterfly wings. The metal is a lovely matte gold color. Put together they create an incredibly vibrant pair of earrings, with Maltese crosses & hearts--two Lacroix recurrent themes. They measure a hair over 2 1/2" (6.8 cm) long. The drop triangle is 1 1/2" (4.2 cm) across. They date from the mid to late 1980's. I don't think the earrings were ever worn.
