A fine small octagonal,porcelain bowl with alternating painted leaves and archaic characters "jixiang junyi-good omen,noble thoughts",between a border of 'ruyi'heads around the rim and above a stylised lappet border around the footed base. The palace mark is inscribed on the countersunk base & reads,"Made for the Hall where Virtue Reigns" Daoguang Period(1820-1850)Condition is perfect.Size:4 3/8"in dia.x 2 1/4"high. A fine piece of Chinese porcelain,with a palace hall mark of the Daoguang Period.
