This elegant pear-shaped snuff bottle beautifully enameled within raised wire inlays with a cartouche on either side,one with a bird among the peonies,the other with a bird in flight above a multicolored flower bed of morning glory,birdweed and sweet potato plants,all reserved on a lemon yellow ground with stylized lotus scrolls enameled in different shades of blue. The gilt-metal stopper is formed into the shape of a pear stem. Condition:Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty,18th/19thC. Size:2 1/2"H. If you are a collector of fine Chinese cloisonne snuff bottles,this one should be in your collection.
