|This magnificent Chinese burial guard dog with detachable head,realistically modeled standing foursquare in an alert position with ears erect and tail curled up in a spiral,wearing a harness and studded collar around the neck with a loop at the back.The condition is excellent with minor adherings and some burial crustations.Circa:Han Dynasty (206BC-AD220)Size:16 1/2"high and 16"in length.*A certified thermoluminescence authenticity test by Dr.M.Y.Tso of Hong Kong University indicates the pottery dog is in fact from the Han Dynasty period and that the "Proximate age"is 1868 years old.This certificate is included with the purchase of this item.
