The bodhisattva shown is seated with hands in dhyanamudra,wearing full robes nicely carved to fall in graceful drapery around her body and below her crossed legs.Her long face, carved with a small mouth and a straight and slightly spread nose together with small openings for the eyes,all creating a most serene facial expression.The condition is excellent.(former owner made two small drill holes in the base for his stand) Circa: Qing Dynasty,(1890-1908) Size:5 3/4"high(does not include stand) A wonderful soapstone carving of a Bodhisattva,with stand included.
