A Beautifully Hand Painted Large Imari Bowl,Edo Period
An elegant and well painted large Imari bowl probably from the late Edo period(1800-1868) The inside of the bowl is covered in an array of superb designs and colors displaying the Imari palette of greens,reds,golds,blues and rusts.The outside with a beautiful and decorative cobalt blue design bordered in a fine gold trim with two outstanding fan-shaped decorations at each end,all above a blue lappet border around the base.The condition is excellent with minor wear due to handling.Circa:Late Edo Period (1800-1868) Size:10 3/4"in Dia.and 3 3/4"high. A beautiful large Imari bowl painted with great care and attention to detail.
