A great example of a Chinese male pottery court attendant, standing on a hexagonal base with feet pointed forward, wearing a three piece robe colored in bright green and amber glazes. The facial features are excellent and show his character to be of a serious nature. His long "pony tail" is bound on the top of his head with a large amber colored bow. The condition is excellent with the exception of a small portion of the bowl"s rim which was apparently not glazed during the firing process. Please note the photo enlargements & thanks.Circa:Ming Dynasty,1366-1643A.D. Size:13 1/4"high.An unusually fine pottery(burial)figure with great details and wonderful colors that survived the ages.A great addition to your Ming pottery collection.
