| A beautiful pair of 19thC plates painted on the interior with the central subject being a white "Cockerel" encircled by a blue key-fret band. All this surrounded by bright pastel enamels showing a rock garden with flowering chrysanthemuns and a golden colored "Cockerel".The rim is decorated with a stylized floral border. The bottom is marked with the seal of the Qianlong period which I feel is spurious and should be 19thC,probably Daoguang Period. Condition:Excellent with some minor ruffness around the bottom as seen in the photo enlargements. Circa:Qing Dynasty,19thC,Daoguang Period.(1821-1850)Size:Dia:6 1/4" Height:3/4". A very unusual pair of brightly enameled porcelain plates with the much sought after "Cockerel"subject. | ||||||||
