 "SOLD" Thank you Switzerland
Richly painted in Mandarin Palette colors, showing both windows decorated with lakeside scenes of Chinese families at leisure pursuits.A beautiful floral diaper surrounds the rim of the lid as well as the shoulder area of the teapot. The design of the spout and handle have been exquisitely made into the shapes of tree branchs. Two floral scenes showing two birds sitting on tree branches encircle both the spout&handle. The same scenes are repeated on the top of the teapot lid. This beautiful export teapot was probably made for the English and American marketplace. The condition is excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty,Qianlong Period(1736-1795)Size:9 1/2" from tip of spout to end of handle and 6 1/2" high from base to top of finial. A really outstanding piece of 18thC Chinese Export porcelain painted in the Mandarin Palette colors. A fine choice for your 18thC Chinese porcelain teapot collection.
