A superb pair of unusual blue&white Chinese porcelain jars,each of square form and decorated on each side with a single cobalt blue lotus flower in a floral setting,all between two decorative inky blue borders,the top with a band of ruyi heads and the bottom with a band of petal lappets. Each cover is decorated with three lotus flowers amid a floral setting,all under a beautiful peach knop surrounded by a band of ruyi heads.The round inside openings of the jars are also finely decorated with a blue band of ruyi heads. Condition: Perfect. Circa: Qing Dynasty,Daoguang Period(1821-1850). Size:2 5/8"square x 3 3/4"high. This fine pair of Chinese porcelain jars,decorated in classic Chinese taste are worthy to put into your collection of 19thC Chinese porcelain.
