Of exquisite hexagonal form,alternately carved on the side panels with the lotus,poeny and prunus all growing from the rockwork and poems appropriate to each individual flower.The patina of the ivory has turned to a pale honey tone over the years. Condition:Very good with minor age lines and normal wear due to usage over time. Circa: Qing Dynasty,Kangxi Period(1662-1722) Size:4 1/4"high x 3 1/4"Dia. A superb ivory brushpot used by a Chinese scholar, that should be in your collection.
