| A beautiful 19thC snuff bottle supported on a footed base of rectangular shape with faceted sides, the reserve-decorated in red lacquer with a lady and her maidservant in a bamboo garden shared with a crane, the reverse with a phoenix flying under the clouds into a floral setting against a black lacquer ground,a four character Qianlong mark on the base which I feel is spurious, and a matching top. Condition:excellent with normal wear to stopper and shoulder area.Size:2 1/2"(6.3cm) high.Circa:Qing Dynasty late 19thC. (1821-1850) Fine attention to detail makes this ivory carving a great find for the discerning collector. | ||||||
