This outstanding,original Edo Period woodblock print by the Japanese artist Keisai Eisen(1790-1848)is of a courtesan wearing a finely detailed kimona printed in a floral&bamboo pattern and two elaborate hair pins.A Kakemono-e vertical diptych showing a Japanese bijin(beauty) probably out for a morning stroll.Condition:Pristine with light wear. Circa:Early Edo Period 1820-1830 and signed by the artist with his seal. Size:9 3/4"x 28". Framed in a traditional rosewood frame,this wonderful work of art will be a treasured possession for the next collector.
