An outstanding "garlic head"vase finely painted and potted in the fahua style with two pairs of dragons in relief, meandering in a dense frieze of slender stems&leaves in bright green underglaze tones,bearing full blooms of lotus flowers in vivid colors of white and cobalt blue,all between a stylized lappet border of prunus flowers and clouds painted in colors of white&cobalt blue.The base is marked with the Qianlong seal guarded by two sinuous dragons. Condition: Excellent. Circa:Qing Dynasty(1821-1890).Size:16 1/2"high.A very fine and decorative Chinese vase of the 19thC.
