This playful pair of Chinese porcelain Foo Lions are modeled with their heads slightly turned to one side, the male with his right paw resting on a pierced ball and the female with her left paw raised over her baby cub in a protection mode. Both of their mouths are open, showing their teeth and protruding tongues, bulging eyes and their curly tails raised up over their backs.Condition:Excellent with very minor professional restoration to a small kiln flaw on the baby cub's body.(please note the kiln flaw on the photo enlargement(#1) which has now been restored and not visable(on #5 photo)Circa:Qing Dynasty,Daoguang Period(1821-1850)Size:8"L x6 1/4"H(top of tail). A fine addition to your Chinese porcelain collection that you will treasure for a lifetime.
