Finely painted on a pear shaped body with three Chinese mythical beasts,in various postures,their eyes picked out in underglaze-dark cobalt blue, all below a tall tapering cylindrical neck and raised on a flat,unglazed countersunk base.The condition is perfect. Circa: Kangxi period 1662-1722. Size:6 3/4"High. For the serious collector of 18thC Kangxi porcelain,this is an outstanding choice in mint condition. A very similar bottle vase in the National Palace was included in the Museum's'Special Exhibition of Kangxi,Yongzheng and Qianlong Porcelain Ware from the Ching Dynasty,Taipei, 1986,cat.no.6;another was included in the exhibition'Oriental Ceramics from Private Collections,Groningen,1982,cat.no.79.'
