A Very Finely Painted 19thC Chinese Porcelain Hat Stand
A superbly detailed porcelain, hexagonal hat stand in famille-rose colors with alternating panels of finely written Chinese calligraphy and beautifully painted mythological figures and scholar objects. A wonderful scalloped window can also be seen at either the top or bottom of each panel, adding to this item's outstanding beauty and quality. The condition is excellent with minor wear to the top gilted edge due to handling and normal usage of the item. Circa:Qing Dynasty,Tongzhi period(1862-1874). Size:H:11" x 5"diameter.Quality wise, this is probably one of the nicest I have ever seen. If you collect Chinese hat stands or just want a fine piece of Chinese porcelain, this one should be in your collection.
