This beautiful blue&white porcelain plaque decorated with Chinese Scholarly Objects,including a large porcelain vase on a wooden stand which contains a Chinese carved hardwood Ruyi Scepter and a Fly-Whisk.To the left of the vase can be seen a wooden framed porcelain plaque with a mountainscape scene. The blue&white borders on this plaque are raised as such plaques were made as inserts to pieces of furniture and the raised borders were an indication of the shape or form of the original frame.Condition:Excellent. Circa: Qing Dynasty,Late Kangxi or Yongzheng (1710-1773) Size:(9"x9"x1/4") If you are a collector of fine 18thC Chinese porcelain plaques,then this one should be in your collection.
