This is a fine Japanese Cloisonne Teapot form the Meiji Period. The pot is worked in standard cloisonne, depicting two exotic birds. Fantastic Boarders. This pot is smothered in goldstone and has a very high quality of enamel. The teapot measures 5 1/8" from spout to handle and measures 3 1/4" to top of finial. The teapot is in excellent condition, but for some small and very hard to see hairlines near where handle attaches to body, extremely minor, but mentioned for accuracy. Some very minute pitting like enamel loss between some cloisons on lower part of handle. Extremely minor and again only mentioned for accuracy.
