| ca. late Ninetenth, early Twentieth century 16 3/4" x 18 1/2", 42.5 cm x 47 cm This bag is pieced of wonderful, hand loomed cotton fabrics--21 pieces in all--and when seen in person, its large size is impressive as is its warmth and human presence. This is a bag that has been used--note the hand-sewn name tag on the piece, shown in detail photos. Very earthy, very much belonging to old Japan, this is a really exceptionally good bag of this sort, and highly recommended. Note the wonderful kasuri (ikat) pieces and the overall beauty of the constsruction. | |||||||||||||
