$6800.

This powerful and most unusual Russian Sunflower quilt is exceptional in several ways. The combination of the Sunflower pattern with the diamond diagonal grid is brilliant. While in some ways the two patterns appear quite different, in actuality the repetition of diamond shaped pieces in both makes for wonderful harmony. The indigo ground is not often seen and the appliqued hearts throughout the border are indicative of the warmth with which the quilt was made. It has been professionally launde ...click for details

$2650.

It is difficult to imagine that the bold, saturated colors of this Trip Around the World quilt are from the late 19th century. The calico Bars backing, however,is one of several sure signs that it is so. This pattern is also known as Sunshine and Shadows. From the wonderful shading of the colors, it is easy to see why. It is quilted with orange thread that stands out well against the dark border. The quilt is in excellent condition. Measurements are 76" square. Lancaster or Lebanon County ...click for details

$695.

This Log Cabin Streak of Lightning crib quilt is so nicely scaled that one does not need a border to know it's the real thing. Red centers in Log Cabin quilts are often thought to represent the hearth. These solid reds really pop against the printed fabrics. With very close examination, one sees some slight soiling on some of the logs but it in no way detracts from the impact. The pattern looks equally good vertically or horizontally. The quilt measures 40" square. Pennsylvania origin; ...click for details
