This amethyst ring by William Spratling is one of his most popular designs. It is the sister to item # 1232858 in which he used a larger, oval stone. This ring is size 4 1/4. It can easily be sized in either direction. Hallmark dates to the 1940's; excellent condition.

Bold and unusual sterling silver ring rimmed with 14 karat gold. The also has a small gold barrel around a piece of onyx. The central dome shows the hand hammer marks as part of the design. The ring is artist signed, but not a logo with which I am familiar. It is size 9 1/2, perfectly suitable in style for a man or woman. It is about 25 years old; American made.

Jewelry designer Biba Schutz titled this sterling silver and gold brooch "Sliced". Schutz beautifully combines space, color and texture in her work. This pin was made in 2001. It measures 2 1/4" x 2 3/4". It can be polished to give more contrast between the metals but some would find the patina more appealing.

Child's concho belt with holes allowing it to be worn between 30 and 33 inches. There are 15 oval silver conchos plus the buckle with a variety of motifs. This is most likely a trading post piece rather than ceremonial; made circa 1950; excellent condition. The conchos are 13/16" wide.

Many strands of silver are intricately intertwined in this ring by Mexican design firm, Tane. The initials are for Soledad Garcia, the designer who began working with Tane in 2001. The ring is size 7. It is 3/8" wide; excellent condition.

This oval picture frame is one of the classic designs of Matilde Poulat (Matl) and her nephew successor, Ricardo Salas. Salas continued the business after Matl's death in 1960. The frame alternates amethyst with turquoise stones. It is 3" tall and 2 1/4" wide.

Bold and chunky silver earrings by New York designer, Patricia von Musulin. Von Musulin is known for the three dimensional aspect of her work and these clip earrings are no exception. They measure 1 1/2" long and 7/8" wide; made circa 1980. Von Musulin's work is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Wonderful silver and copper earrings by modernist designer, Sam Kramer. The crescent shaped earrings have a silver ball. The tip is turned over with a copper ball making for a very three dimensional design. Measurements are 1 1/16" long x 7/8" wide; backs are clips. Made circa 1960; excellent condition.
