This 1930's quilt densely combines several patterns but because the colors are soft, it is not overwhelming. In between the Carpenter's Square Blocks (aka Broken Star) are Four Patches. The wonderful candystripe border; four patch and LeMoyne stars are all the same solid pink and blue fabrics. The arms of the outer stars are made from a nice selection of feedsack prints. The quilt measures 72" square. It is in excellent condition; nicely quilted with cable pattern in the border. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
