| Richly colored Victorian Crazy Quilt made more interesting than most by both the colors and set-up of the borders. Beautiful details include many of the most desirable features of this type of quilt such as the painted bouquet; three dimensional flowers and embroidered figures of a boy, bird and heart, all of which are clearly shown in the detail photos. Reading, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1890. I've counted breaks in three of the pieces which is almost unavoidable with silks of this era. There is a reinforcement to the back with crepeline (invisible netting) that has been professionally done. Measures 74 1/2" x 77 1/2". | |||||||||||
