| Unusual applique quilt with the hex signs that are emblematic of the Pennsylvania Dutch. In addition to virtually every barn having one, they are used liberally in the decorative arts. I have never seen this motif, though, as a quilt pattern. Quilting in white ground repeats the pattern. Fabulous border incorporates the circle around each applique block. Excellent condition; very well quilted. Measures 75" x 86". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930. | ||||||||
