| Princess Feather applique quilt done in a color combination only the Pennsylvania Mennonites would dare to use. Brilliant continuation of the feathered effect incorporated in the border and corner blocks. Truly an eye dazzler. A note sewn to the quilt says "Quilt no. 82 Elvin and Martha Hershey". Unwashed condition. Measures 76" square. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Mennonite; circa 1880. Green is not quite as dark as shows on my monitor. | ||||||||||
