A magnificent and rare copy of selections from the "Dasam Granth." This book was composed by the 10'th Sikh Guru...Guru Gobind Singh. The pages are hand written and colored in several different shades with outlines of leaves,flowers and rectangular panels.There is also an extensive use of gold on the pages. A very interesting group of 8 tiny gilt bronze Buddhas mounted on a thick plastic mount.7 of the buddhas are standing and 1 appears to be begging.Most likely from Burma or Thailand and of considerable age. Possibly as early as the 17th C. Probably cast. Figures are glued on the plastic. Total length of the mount is 4 3/4 inches W. 1 1/2 inches H.
