A beautifully cast gilt bronze figure of the Buddha seated in the "dhyanasana" position on a double lotus base with his in the earth touching gesture or "bhumisparsa " mudra.This gesture represents the moment of his enlightenment. The base is sealed with the consecration intact. Sits on an antique carved wood base. Excellent condition.Nice size,both wide and tall. Bronze is 10 1/2 inches H. 7 3/4 inches W. Total on wood base is 13 inches H. Tibet Circa 1750
