A large,rare and finely carved Jain statue of the Goddess Ambika.The marble with extensive pigments and gilt decoration remaining.The Goddess is shown with her mount the lion.

This large and beautiful yellow ground painting is a folio
from the Bhakti Ratnavali series from Mewar,Rajasthan circa 1760.
The text is taken from the Bhagavata Purana and in this particular folio King Yudhisthira sits at the feet of Vishnu.

male and female figures on both sides.Exceptionally well painted with portrait
quality likeness to the figures.The painting is mounted on a cloth backing.
