Antique American Indian Wood Club with Human Face
An old and fine Ojibwe ceremonial club or staff.The root wood,burl ?, is clad in deer skin and has a red pigment applied to the head.The head of the club has a human face carved into the wood. Dark patina and wear on deer skin where the club was held. Circa 1900 Wood is 19 inches long , head is 3 1/2 inches long
