| Red-backed Dicaeum (Dicaeum Cruentatum) in Natural Size from the "Birds of Asia" series by John Gould. Published in 1850-83 hand-colored lithograph plates from drawings by Gould, Hart, Richter and Wolf. Measuring 21.625 inches x 15.000 inches. Includes full text page. Condition: Light spotting throughout; Dark spots upper edge near center (see enlargement 3); impurities in paper; Binding holes along right edge. There is white in the photographs that does not appear on the print. The male (lower bird) has no white bands in the red and the female does not have a white streak in the wing. Please study the photographs. | ||
