Bewick's Swan #147 from the work "A History of British Birds" by Francis Orpen Morris, published between 1851 and 1857, with editions continuing to 1897. These are Colored wood engravings. The plates measure 7.25" x 4.75". The Title Page reads: "A History of British Birds". By The Rev. F.O.Morris. B.A., Member of the Ashmolean Society. London: Groombridge and Sons. 5, Paternoster Row.
Condition: Very good; few light specks/flaws in paper; binding edge with remains of glue. Includes copy of title page. |
