Dresser Birds of Europe Sheldrake Duck Lithograph
Common Sheldrake (Tadorna Cornuta) #420 from the work "A HISTORY OF THE BIRDS OF EUROPE, INCLUDING ALL THE SPECIES INHABITING THE WESTERN PALÆARCTIC REGION" by Henry Eeles Dresser, Richard Bowdler, Sharpe and Arthur Hay Vicount Walden. Large 4to size (12.50" x 9.75"). London 1871–1881 (with supplement that came out in 1896). 720 hand-coloured lithographs, by John Gerrard Keulemans, Joseph Wolf, Edward Neale, Archibald Thorburn and others. Originally published in 93 parts.

This print is from Volume 6, 1878 and includes text pages.
Condition: Very good overall; with typical impurities in the paper; binding holes; small spot Top-Right above the large birds head (see Enlargement #4); small marks along left edge (see Enlargement #6); soft crease Top-Center.
