Offered is a wonderful, circa 1940s, camphor glass, dental mortar and pestle. Prior to the mechanization of the process of mixing dental amalgam, durable mortar and pestles such as this were regularly used to mix dental amalgam by hand. The pestle measures nearly 5 inches long, with the mortar being 1.5" high and over 2" in diameter. The condition is fine except for a tiny fleck on the lip of the mortar. An attractive piece! |
