The vibrant colors in combination with the preacher’s soulful, heavenward gaze make this an appealing and thought-provoking image.
This artwork is further complimented by a transcription of Sister’s interpretation of this art work, “Preacher man prays to God for a word of wisdom to share with his people so that they may hear from God and not from his heart. Preacher man holds a full time job makin stuff with his hands. Preacherman won’t take money from his flock least he may be tempted to become lazy and greedy and lose his true callin. The call of the lord is mighty and hearin his voice clear takes all he got. Devil always slipping round tryin to trip him up. Devil might try to trip you up too, so make sure you seeking the voice of God.”
