This wonderful 1930's-40's vintage PURETEST VITAMIN drug store display stand measures approximately 36 inches wide by 36 inches tall (38.5 inches tall if measuring via the highest point of the display). This metal drug store display stand is quite sturdily constructed and can continue to be used to display all manner of drug store remedies and curatives as it features 8 small display shelves! Please note that in one photo the stand appears to be crooked, but it is not--it stands straight and true and is only standing off kilter due to the uneven ground it was placed upon. The stand is in fine overall condition with just the expected age and use-related scratches to its painted blue surface, as well as superficial rust spotting here and there. The legs unscrew from the top of the display for easy shipping! The PURETEST VITAMIN Company was a subsidiary of the larger REXALL Drug Company, and the stand bears the REXALL label at the base of each leg (see photos). Quite visually appealing, the display features a wonderful, large, amber-colored "gel" vitamin with the die-cut of a beautiful - and healthy - Victorian lady slid inside of it! The die-cut is not original to the display and can be easily removed if so desired by the new owner, but it does seem to work well as a testimonial to the potency of the Puretest Vitamin! This stand would work wonderfully as a centerpiece in an advanced apothecary/drug store collection and is truly a RARE find! |
