This RARE and original, vintage 1920's, black and white advertising sign was hand-painted by a professional painter to be used as a sample piece - similar to an artist’s proof - in his advertising portfolio for review by potential business clients (note the yellow stock number "90" in the upper right hand corner). Created for "Victoria Pharmacy", the sign reads: "Modern Prescription Druggist, 279 Lenox Ave., Corner 124th Street" ( New York City ), Sanitary Soda Fountain". The sign, which is in wonderful condition, measures 8 x 8 inches square and was completed on artist's black matte board. |
