1906 Medical Text "A Compend of Human Anatomy"

Profusely illustrated with 138 wood engravings, this 1906 medical text entitled, "Quiz- A Compend of Human Anatomy" was written by Dr. Samuel O. L. Potter, M.A., M.D., M.R.C.P., Formerly Professor of the Principles and Practice of Medicine in The Cooper Medical College of San Francisco and Late Major And Surgeon of Volunteers, US Army.

This is an anatomical text "confined to the essentials of each structure treated of" and was designed to be utilized by medical students "in preparing for the exercises of the quiz room and for his examinations" and closely follows, according to Dr. Potter, the current, recognized authorities such as the well-known Gray of "Gray's Anatomy" in its compilation. The text contains numerous tables and 16 plates of the arteries and nerves.

This 7th edition text was published by P. Blakeston's Son and Company, Philadelphia. 372 pages. Light wear to cloth board covers, binding separating at front cover only--other pages tight and intact. No tears or missing pages. Measures 5 x 7 inches.
