This wonderful, 1920-30s, Drug Store Soda Fountain syrup dispenser once contained COCA COLA syrup! Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft drink market throughout the 20th century. Coca Cola was the key ingredient in the Drug Store Soda Fountain Ice Cream Soda! This wonderful dispenser is constructed of black ceramic with white ceramic interior. The metal pumping mechanism is complete and functional and includes its original, white ceramic "Coca Cola" label. The dispenser is in fine condition with very minor surface edge abrasions as noted in photos. Measuring 14 inches high to the top of the pump, the dispenser is 7.5 inches deep by 4 inches wide. A super counter or shelf display piece! |
