Charles Thomas Bale (English, fl. 1868-1875) Tabletop Still-Life with Fruit and Gamebird Oil on canvas, signed lower right.
Painting Size: 16” x 20” Bale, a still life painter from London, flourished from 1868-1875. His works were exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1872, and at the Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street. His subjects were mainly fruit and flowers, painted in a style derived from George Lance and William Duffield.
