Tabletop Still Life with Porcelain Coffee Service Johan Szilagyi (Hungarian, 1895-1971) Oil on canvas, signed. Szilagyi first studied at the Kstgewerbasch in Budapest then later on at the Academy in Leningrad and the Academy in Moscow in 1921. He was in Germany from 1922-1933 and in the Soviet union from 1933-1948 after which he made Budapest his permanent home. Szilagyi is listed in Allegemeines Lexikon der bildenden... by Thieme-Becker.
