Charles Copeland (American, 1858-1945)

Oil on canvas, signed and with paper exhibition label on reverse.

Active in the New England area, Copland held memberships at both the Boston Society of Watercolor Painters and the Boston Art Club. He also exhibited at the Boston Art Club from 1884-1909. Additionally, his work was shown at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts from the period of 1891-1894.

Copeland is listed in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk.
